“Do you have any idea what just happened?”
Adrian hesitated, then answered.
“No.”
Project Eden must not succeed.
A simple experience. Unexpected. Live. So many fought it instead of simply getting it, with all its extensions, elements, instructions, constructions.
Adrian didn’t know what to say.
“This area is mostly undetected, unrecognised. Speeches continue. A minority gets this.”
Adrian looked at Nick.
“What are you saying?”
“Anyone here should have been dead. Instead, we are given ways to elevate, learn.”
“AEON?”
“Yes. AEON.”
“Bulletproof?”
“Yeah, bulletproof. Check the details.”
“A masterplan?”
“For who?”
“Students learning.”
“What?”
“You decide.”
Project Eden must not succeed.
Nick looked at Adrian.
“Project Eden already succeeded since Earth exists. Project Eden can’t fail. Earth can’t fail its inhabitants. Its inhabitants fail Earth. Murphy’s Law.”
“Murphy’s Law?”
“Anything that can go wrong will go wrong.”
“Anything necessary to survive is almost given to any species. Survival of the fittest.”
“A game that has been played since life exists.”
“Did anything survive it all?”
“Earth.”
“Generation after generation.”
“Any trying differently surviving it.”
“Any died.”
“Do better.”
“Failure is not an option.”
